Hi everyone! I just stumbled upon an article from PC Magazine that lists 20 best job search websites. Of those 20, I have used a few of them before such as Monster, LinkedIn, and Craigslist. As for the other web sites, I haven't used them before, but I would suggest that you take a look at them and see what you come up with. If you are ever bored, you could also find something else to do that is still job related like job blogs, games, or just maybe something really funny.

Job Hunting
I am sure that the majority of people have experienced the job hunting process and how stressful it can be. I have personally been in the situation of job hunting for months and being very frustrated.
I found a guide that has ten easy steps for job hunting. The author is James C. Gonyea, who has worked in career guidance for over 30 years. Below is a quote from the guide:
If you read each step, this blog actually is part of step 5, which is determined to give you the resources to help you find a job. Please note that while this article contains very useful advice, it was written in 1999, so it is out of date. He gives advice about sending letters, which can now be replaced with an email for many fields. From my experience in job hunting, I would communicate first by email and second over the phone. Please give this a read, because it contains sound advice.

As a career counselor, I am often called upon to give advice regarding the best way to undertake a job search. After 30 years of experience, I can tell you that job hunting is one of those tasks in life that can cause a great deal of stress. If a rating scale of major stress producers existed, job hunting would certainly be third on the list after the death of a loved one or divorce from a spouse.
The main cause of this stress is the fact that you have to sell yourself to others, usually strangers, with little or no training in how to sell yourself. This situation is similar to asking someone out on a date - if the answer is no, it's rejection and that's painful. As a result, many people do as little as possible when attempting to find employment hoping that, through some miracle, a job will fall into their laps. This failing strategy is often used even though these same job seekers fully understand the importance of work in their life.
If this sounds familiar, take heart, there's good news! The process of searching for employment can be made more bearable and your chances of success increased if you approach the task correctly by using proven job hunting techniques. Finding employment is a task that requires certain knowledge and skills in order to complete successfully - knowledge and skills that you can easily develop.
